Luke 3:7 (NLT) When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said, “You brood of snakes!...
1 Corinthians 14:6-9 (NLT)

6 Dear brothers and sisters, if I should come to you speaking in an unknown language, how would that help you? But if I bring you a revelation or some special knowledge or prophecy or teaching, that will be helpful. 7 Even lifeless instruments like the flute or the harp must play the notes clearly, or no one will recognize the melody. 8 And if the bugler doesn’t sound a clear call, how will the soldiers know they are being called to battle?

9 It’s the same for you. If you speak to people in words they don’t understand, how will they know what you are saying? You might as well be talking into empty space.

Earlier tonight, I wrote a paper referencing the prophecies that I heard as a new Christian in a Charismatic Community. The community was made up of young people mostly students or former students of Michigan State University. This was one of a number of communities that started through various Prayer Groups made up of young people. They had been part of the Charismatic Renewal when the Holy Spirit fell on the college campuses around the nation.

As the Holy Spirit fell and baptized these young people it dramatically changed their lives. Many were not content to remain a "Prayer Group," but felt a much deeper calling. They were not content to just go to a prayer meeting on a typical week night and to have that as their entire week's diet of spirituality, so many got together and followed the example in the Bible after the disciples were filled in the Upper Room. They began forming communities in these college towns trying to emulate the scriptural example concerning the Early Church.
These true "Charismatic's" who had all experienced a common phenomenon or experience, as the Early Disciples of Jesus had experienced were fortunately not taught in the traditions of man concerning "Prophecy," and some other gifts.

For example, when I was in the community and we gathered for a service, without fail, at one point or another the Holy Spirit would urge us to sing in tongues in unison. This meant that whether there was forty or four hundred generally after maybe four or five worship songs, we would ultimately be moved by the Spirit as one to just begin singing in various tongues.

In our closed meetings where we would hear the various prophecies that I mentioned earlier in my other paper, they were very powerful, but again, we didn't know any better. In those meetings where we would literally begin singing in tongues, the phenomenon would continue for upwards of generally maybe twenty or thirty minutes. On occasion, they could literally continue for forty five minutes to perhaps an hour even.

I am not exaggerating, but speaking exactly how I recall our services. Many times, you could feel the presence of the wind or of angels right there in the atmosphere. On one occasion, I literally saw the saints of old, looking down from a banister observing us. Whether, I was lifted to heaven to witness them or it was a vision where the heavens were opened, I am not quite sure. Nonetheless, these were common occurrences during our meetings.

This was the reason why we had closed meetings of only community members who had committed their lives to the church and the gospel. The leadership, I am sure did not want the public being told of such strange phenomenon. But, more importantly we recognized that God was not going to show himself to the unbelievers or doubters that would ultimately be drawn to the meetings.

In the gospels there are instances where the Lord would shut out the  unbeliever's before he was to heal. It's also stated that in one town, he could do no mighty work because of the unbelief.

Neither would he show himself to the people who might go out and report the strange phenomenon or make light of it. It would be as casting the precious pearls of God among the swine of unbelievers and mockers.

The other thing that caused these powerful manifestations was the unity amongst all of us.

Before you were allowed to join this community you had to commit to follow Jesus. I had to commit to learn about Jesus, to read scripture daily and to pray daily. Another thing that they highly suggested to all new believers was to become celibate for a year or to not involve yourself in a relationship for that first year. No, that first year, they highly recommended that you learn about the person of Jesus before you got involved with any relationships that would distract your attention.

But, you see, we didn't know any better.

We didn't have the sense to know that we were to open our doors to all manner of men and women who were going to show up at our single's events?

We didn't know, no one told us!

No one told us that once a congregation begins singing in the tongues of men and angels, that we were to stop ten seconds later because it might offend a "Tither?"

We didn't know, no one told us!

And when these little petite girls or young men who had only been believer's for maybe three or four years, would walk up to give a prophecy and their voice took on an authority that would immediately pierce your heart, as they stated within a few sentences a picture of today's society. Well, we didn't know that they were suppose to also cause down a promise of endless riches as we continued our journey's with Christ.

My God, we missed it all.

We didn't know these things, and I wouldn't have learned them except I joined the minions of the evangelical Pentecostal and these other groups who called themselves "Charismatic?"

I wrote a paper earlier and was about to retire for the night, so checking my phone I happened to go to the Charisma App.

It was there that I saw a typical prophecy and it and the "Hand of the Lord," propelled me from my comfort to post another paper. I guess, to many this kind of prophecy has really encouraged them over the years?

Personally, I wish someone would explain it to me, cause I don't know how to interpret these.type prophecies.

I just don't know any better!

Nevertheless, I guess the reason why the prophecies from the community were so powerful was 'cause they just didn't know any better.
They hadn't been enlightened from the groups that I would later encounter.

Nobody had taught them how to do it, you know what I mean?

They just spoke what was on God's heart, not theirs.

The following is a link, if anybody cares to enlighten me on the interpretation?:
