This revelation was given to me probably about ten years ago. It has been on this site for at least eight. The other day, I noticed that it wasn't published. Tech told me it had been inactive since April of last year. You see, I have been neglectful of my duties. For the past couple of years I have been consumed with my secular job, instead of my ministry.
The gifts and the callings of God are never revoked.

Recently, I have gone on an extended fast and have repented.

The following paper on the poor has also been posted for about seven or eight years, as well. God does not change. Every word that He gave me to share on the poor still stands today and even more strong. The church has continued to despise the poor in America and has refused to offer them anything but a few bread crumbs.

How then can He help our nation!   7/7/2016

Malachi 3:8-13

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. 11 Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. 12 “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.

13 “Your words have been arrogant against Me,” says the LORD. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’

A few years ago, the Lord gave me a personal revelation. There has been a few times where I received revelation, as I did that day. You see, I have been critical of the way that money has been taken in the church ever since I became a Christian and saw my first abuse of it by particular leaders. It was very disheartening to see a man humiliate another man in front of others, simply because he hadn't brought his "tithe" to a cell group meeting.

This victim was a convert of mine and I challenged this leader that we might speak to his leaders. His immediate leaders conceded that I was in the right to challenge the man, and that what they were doing was wrong, but nothing really changed in their church. They were just as covetous, just as greedy, and just as non-caring for the sheep as any thief would have been. Since that day, I have seen the principle of the tithe destroy the church. Yes, it has done much to spread the gospel message and God has used it greatly, but nevertheless, it has done much harm to the individual believers concerning their salvation and their rewards in the after life.

Our churches are filled with opportunists who have used these Godly principles to make many wealthy. They have literally hi-jacked the church and stolen it from the poor. Today, most poor men will hardly enter a church because of what these men and women have done to the gospel message. Read your Bible, the gospel is the inheritance of the poor for this life. Jesus, our Lord came to proclaim that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him that He might “Preach the gospel to the POOR.”

If you read the passage carefully in Malachi, you will even see that the “tithe” was a challenge to the selfish that “God might have food in His storehouse.”

Why would God want food in His storehouse? God wants food in His storehouse because the gospel message is the inheritance of the poor. Our leaders today, however, have misconstrued and twisted the scriptures to mean that “there are elite classes of people called “clergy” who are so blessed by God Almighty that God created a lower race of people who are suppose to give them ten per cent of all that they will ever get out of life?” Not only are these lower class of people to pay homage and tribute to this higher class, but we are now suppose to pay off their accusers when they molest the youth or are in adulterous affairs, and the like. We are suppose to bring great tribute to this rare class of people that they might live in million dollar homes, drive the finest cars, and fly around in forty million dollar jets.

Why, would we do this, you ask?

Simple, just go ahead and ask one of them and they will tell you that this is what is written in the Bible. It’s funny though, I can’t find it in the Bible? Makes you wonder what Bible they are all reading, doesn’t it?

That little incident happened over thirty years or so ago, but I have seen it replicated in the churches time and again from nearly every ministry that I have been involved in. Most in the clergy imagine themselves as specially "born" to be above all their followers. This is why we have such a separation of clergy and laity in the church. It has been a tactic that Satan has used throughout the centuries, and as long as he can instill greed into man, it will continue until Jesus comes. In the Early church there was a principle established that all were equal. The Bible says, "no one called anything their own." Yesterday, I was listening to a teacher of Greek, and he pointed out that God doesn't just tell stories in the Bible. They are written for our example the Bible says. The Book of Acts is not a story of the early church. It is a blueprint of examples and principles to follow. Where is it written that the leaders of that church were venerated as little gods, allowed to live lives of sin, and to live as kings? Where is it written that greed and covetousness ruled the church? Nowhere, this is an American gospel that has perverted the gospel of the scriptures.

In other words, no one person was above any other. Read the Old Testament, concerning God's chosen people. No one group, no leader was to be thought of in a manner that would indicate any kind of veneration, yet this is what we do in the church. Look at the apostle Paul, on his journeys, the people would want to venerate the man as a god, and this act would literally make Paul cry out to correct them. He knew that it was blasphemous to God, yet our modern day leaders desire this type of adoration and their lives and finances prove it. This was the reason that these apostles of the early church refused to live in a manner of kings, as our leaders do. It is blasphemous, in many cases.

Well, as I have said, over the years, I have witnessed this and been very critical of many ministries. Many times, there was just something wrong, but I couldn't quite place my finger on it. Nevertheless, I knew that what was happening was wrong and it was affecting my spirit. I am talking here, of even a few good ministries who were using this principle of the tithe. I have watched the "preaching of the tithe" go out from a few churches or movements until it has over taken the church. Today, there is hardly a church that you can enter where they do not have their people under the bondage of the "tithe." The apostle Paul asked the Galati on church once, “Who has bewitched you?”

Well, do you understand that if the apostle asked the question, then apparently, the people had become “bewitched?” America and now the church worldwide have become “bewitched” by this tithe law. This is why there is no power in the church; most every man is under bondage to other men, and not to God. Well, the Bible says, "Whatever is not of faith is sin," therefore many have been giving their "tithes" for years in sin. Their motives have been wrong.

How many of your pastors and leaders are using that tithe to bring "food" into their house? They will all twist the scripture to tell you that the storehouse is the local church, but when its purpose is clearly defined as to "help the poor" that "food" might be in God's house, how many mention this?

In other words, how many are helping to feed the poor, this was one of the main purposes of the tithe; it wasn't to make your pastor fat and greedy. It wasn't to make your pastor live in the finest home, or drive the nicest car. This is what has destroyed the church. What has happened in the church in America is that it has been hi-jacked by the wealthy, the elite, opportunists, and it has been turned into a string of coffee shops, health clubs, and country clubs. Last night, deep in the Spirit during worship, I felt as if the Lord told me that He wants to take the church back to the poor.

The Bible says that true Christian religion is helping the poor, the widow and the orphan, where do we see this in the modern day church?

James 1:27 (New Living Translation)

27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

James 2:5 (New Living Translation)

5 Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?

A few years ago, the Lord gave me much revelation concerning the poor. The poor are the people who Jesus came to preach to. The poor were the ones who accepted him. The poor were the ones who truly loved Him without using Him for their own benefit. God wants to return the church to the poor. It has been hi-jacked by corruptible men who Paul warned about. These are vicious wolves that have come in and taken over the church of Jesus Christ of , with their non-power legalistic doctrines that make them all rich. It should not be so, my brothers.

Acts 20:29 (King James Version)

29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Years ago, I studied under a man that taught that the Old Testament patriarchs were servants, but we are Sons. In other words, if God spoke to Moses face to face, as a friend, shouldn't He speak to His Sons face to face? Well, this is how God speaks to me sometimes. One day the Lord spoke in this way to me concerning the tithe in a personal revelation. It was as if He were talking to me as a friend, in a real casual conversation.

I had been praying and the Lord said to me, He said, "John, did you know that the tithe is only good for this earth?"

Well, I immediately thought of the passage in Malachi where the prophet is speaking for God and he says, "See if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out to you a blessing..."

I thought, "My goodness, if God pours out to you from heaven, then it comes from heaven and is received on the earth." I was shocked, because I had never thought about it.

In a moment, just as I finished that very thought, I heard the Lord speak again.

He said, "John, I am going to have multitudes stand before me on the Day of Judgment expecting huge rewards, and I am going to have to tell them that, 'you have no reward up here. I honored my word, and I poured out your blessing while you were on earth. YOU HAVE NO TREASURE IN HEAVEN."

I was stunned; I was shocked at the reality of what I was hearing. Earlier, God had given me revelation on the poor, so I knew how much He cared for the poor. Please do a word study on the "POOR," and you will find probably a hundred scriptures concerning them.

Well, after I got over my initial shock, the first thing that I did was to go to the computer to do a word study on "Treasure in Heaven."

What I basically found was that we receive "treasure in heaven" for our works for helping our fellow man.

It is not for "tithing."

"It is not for giving out of a wrong motive."

"It is not for giving because you were instructed to by a pastor or leader."

It is not for giving to a building, an annex, a coffee shop, a Christmas display, or anything else that you are coerced to give to.

The way that you receive treasure in heaven is by having a desire to help an individual bring the gospel of Christ to someone who is suffering without it.

You receive treasure in heaven when you feel compassion for a single mother, or a young teenager who is pregnant and has no one to help her.

You receive treasure in heaven when you want to truly help someone who is hungry, or needy.

You receive treasure in heaven when your giving has come out of an individual concern that you have for someone else. It is not received for dropping a wad in a basket, and being resolved of your many sins from the week before.

Jesus told me that there will be multitudes who imagine that “all their giving had been accounted before God and He was just like a little kid giddy and awaiting their arrival in heaven that He may bless them with their many treasures?”

Sorry, my brothers and sisters, but it is not so!

He told me just as one might be having lunch with another and share your days’ work experience.

He said, "John, I am going to have so many who imagine that they have huge rewards."

The following are scriptures concerning "treasure in heaven." Please notice that they are for giving to the poor, and having works for your fellow man. Also please notice that Jesus said "Where your treasure is there will your heart be also." Later, the Lord showed me that this is the reason why there is so much lawlesness in His church today. The people have been taught to put their treasure in the things of this earth, rather than in the things of heaven. You see, I live for the day that I may receive my reward, I don't want to jeopardize that.
I believe that the apostle Paul lived like this as as the early Christians, and this was what kept the church so pure.

Matthew 6:19-21 (New Living Translation)

19 “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Matthew 19:21 (New Living Translation)

21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Mark 10:21 (New Living Translation)

21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Luke 12:33 (New Living Translation)

33 “Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.

Luke 12:34 (New Living Translation)

34 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Luke 18:22 (New Living Translation)

22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

1 Timothy 6:18-19 (New Living Translation)

18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

James 5:3 (New Living Translation)

3 Your gold and silver have become worthless. The very wealth you were counting on will eat away your flesh like fire. This treasure you have accumulated will stand as evidence against you on the day of judgment.

In other words, He was saying, "John, I want you to tell them, and to let them know. I want you to warn them, so when they get up here; they are not disappointed or mad at me. I have told them in my word, but there are too many leading them astray."

Well, I have written about this on my web sites many times, but for some reason I can't find one leader to preach or acknowledge this as truth. You see, if they were to do that, they would lose those "tithes."

I am glad that we are judged on our knowledge, aren't you? These leaders, one day, will stand before Jesus and He is going to ask the many “Did you know this truth that I revealed to my servant John?”

What will they say, when He then asks them, “Why did you not warn your people, that they were giving in vain, all so they could help fulfill your selfish desires?”

Could I tell you something else?

He will call a witness, and He will ask that witness, “John, did you tell these ones, what I told you to tell them?”

And I will answer, “Yes Lord, more times than I can remember!”
